Clean potable drinking water had become a scarcity in the aftermath of the floods that hit Pakistan, and KASB Foundation had immediately initiated its “Water Purifications Plants Project” to enable people in the interior areas of Sindh to have access to clean drinking water.
Together with its partners Siemens Pakistan and Red Crescent, five Water Purification Plants were installed in areas that were the worst affected by the floods, which not only provided immediate relief but also helped to prevent the spreading of diseases to a great extent.
KASB Foundation plans to install many more Water Purification Plants in those other areas of Sindh, where they would benefit the people the most.
